Lyka Rivera, a VFI Scholar throughout her secondary education, 2008-2013, at Magsingal National High School, has recently earned a Full Scholarship at the Rizal Technological University (RTU) located in Mandaluyong City. The scholarship includes full tuition and miscellaneous fees as well as a monthly allowance of P500.00. The 16-year old lass from Brgy. Miramar, Magsingal will be taking up Bachelor of Science in Education Major in Physical Education. Lyka is a member of Ilocos Football Association (IFA) and has been actively playing Football since 2011.
On the other hand, Junnel Corpuz, also a member of IFA, is enjoying a Football Scholarship at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) in Vigan City. The scholarship provides Junnel with free full tuition fees. He was among the first batch of players who took advantage of the free trainings offered by IFA under Coach Bobby de Jesus in the first quarter of 2011.
Ilocos Football Association was founded March 12, 2011 by the Vgent Foundation Inc. (VFI) in cooperation with the Football Academy of the North (FAN). IFA now serves as the umbrella group of all football clubs in Ilocos Sur province.
