An IFA-organized football coaching course was successfully held last April 29-30, 2013 at the IFA Football Field in Miramar, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.
A total of 16 coaches from five different clubs all over Ilocos Sur province took part in the two-day course. The course was divided in two parts, first was theoretical lectures and the other was practical demonstrations. The participants were also given a chance to ask questions during the open discussion.
At the end, the participants gained the necessary tools and tactics for effective coaching.
The resource speaker was Mr. Edgar Robert “Coach Bobby” de Jesus, an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) License B coach. Coach Bobby is a veteran football coach, having handled a number of both professional and school-based clubs. Since 2011, he’s concurrently the head coach and president of the Ilocos Football Association.
Consequently, at the conclusion of the course, the appreciative coaches signified their intention to participate in the 3rd IFA Football Festival 2013 as well as in all other events lined up in the IFA calendar.
